Houston Massage Parlors: Free Press Houston Accuses Houston Press of Helping Sex Trafficking

HOUSTON – There’s no denying Houston has a sex trade. The city has become a hub for victims of sex trafficking.
That’s why one local paper has a serious issue with another weekly publication’s content.
Omar Afra is the publisher of Free Press Houston, a monthly underground publication.
“In Houston, you have the special instance where a lot of these sexually-oriented businesses are tied to the epidemic of human trafficking,” Afra said.
In the January 2012 issue of the Free Press, Afra highlighted the worst in Houston. One of his writers published an article, suggesting the Houston Press is complicit in the human trafficking problem.
Why? Just go to the back pages of the weekly.
“The Houston Press, among others, features advertising for massage parlors and other sexually-oriented businesses that are built on the backs of women who are trafficked from Southeast Asia, Latin America and what not,” Afra said.
