HOUSTON – Prostitution on the streets of Houston is nothing new; however, what two women allegedly did out of a southeast Houston motel takes prostitution to a new level.
Police say Elizabeth Bufford, 55, and her daughter Alicia Melchor, 31, put someone on the streets to turn tricks. Investigators say it was Melchor’s 14-year-old daughter and Bufford’s granddaughter.
Investigators say when the girl was told to go out on the streets, she would bring the john back to room #19 at the motel. That room is also where the teen also lived with her mother and grandmother.

On Tuesday, the Houston Police Department arrested Bufford and Melchor. The two women are charged with forcing a minor into prostitution. Prosecutors also say the mother and grandmother both have prior prostitution-related criminal records.
