Houston Escorts In The Media

In an attempt at goodwill, a woman in Texas posted an ad on an escort website offering one free extra hour of adult services in exchange for a Toys for Tots donation.
Houston - KTRK Houston reports that the woman who posted the ad, whose name is She advertises her name as “Shelby” and “Santa’s Little Helper” for her services.
Her ad specifically states:
“I am currently having a Holiday Special. Book 1 Hour, Bring an unwrapped gift for a boy or girl, and receive 1 Hour Free.
The Christmas-themed ad also shows a nude woman in provocative poses.
According to the Huffington Post, “Shelby” normally charges $200 for a one hour encounter.
A reporter from KTRK traced the phone number on the ad to a woman named Robin Jeanette Jordan, who was convicted last month of operating a prostitution operation out of her home. She had been released from jail after serving 12 days.

HOUSTON, T.X.–An escort in Texas wants to spread some holiday cheer and help needy children at the same time. 
She’s offering customers who pay for one hour of services, and bring a new unwrapped gift, a second hour of services for free. 
The escort’s been charged in the past with prostitution.  Her website calls it a Toys for Tots special.  A Toys for Tots spokesperson says they want nothing to do with it.

HOUSTON, Texas – Houston authorities are investigating an escort advertisement online promising extra time with a woman if clients bring a toy for charity, according to a KTRK report.
The ad offers a “Santa’s little helper/Toys for Tots” coupon that offers customers who pay for an hour and bring a toy an extra hour on the house.
KTRK called the ad and spoke to Robin Jordan, an escort who served 12 days in jail after operating a prostitution business from her home.
The vice president of Marine Toys for Tots said they were unaware of the ad and they don’t want to associate with anyone who would tarnish their reputation.

HOUSTON—Two defendants have pleaded guilty for their roles in trafficking Mexican females for compelled service at Houston area bars and restaurants through force, fraud and coercion, United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced today. Maria Rojas, aka “Nancy,” and Jose Luis Rojas entered their pleas to both conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens as well as the sex trafficking conspiracy before U.S. District Judge Lynn Hughes yesterday afternoon.
The two were charged with a conspiracy involving the recruitment of Mexican women and girls to travel to the United States with the false expectation of legitimate jobs in bars and restaurants. The indictment, returned Feb. 15, 2011, alleged that the conspirators further relied on the services of pimps to supply the women for use as prostitutes to maintain control of the women. Maria Rojas, 46, was the owner of La Costenita, formerly Playa Sola, as well as El Club Restaurante, formerly La Cueva Restaurante Bar, both located on Clinton Drive in Houston. Jose Luis Rojas, 38, operated La Costenita.

The New Birth Outreach shown Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, in Conroe could be shut down by the Conroe fire marshall. The faith-based shelter seeks to help the drug addicted, involved in prostitution or people who are homeless. The non-profit shelter has not been able to find funds for a sprinkler system and vent hood, requirements now that it’s been classified as a small assisted living center.

SAN ANTONIO—By now it should be no surprise that the popular website Craigslist can serve as a place to solicit prostitution. However, one Bexar County constable claims it happens all the time.

“We don’t want prostitution. We don’t want the drug sales, and we certainly don’t want it coming across an anonymous media such as Craigslist so that it can involve kids, children or, people who really aren’t aware of what they’re getting into,” said Vojvodich.

The Bexar County Constable’s Office said both were originally also charged with solicitation of prostitution, but that charge was dropped since it　is a misdemeanor. Police said both men bailed out on $10,000 bonds.
