Houston Escorts: Checkdown – A Battle Red Blog Mystery (Chapter Three)

The scene in the parking lot was not far from what Scott had envisioned driving up. Texans fans were chatting with streetwalkers whose best days, assuming they had them at all, had long since passed. Drug dealers and fences watched the police like hawks while they made their daily contributions to the black market. And he couldn’t be entirely sure, but Scott thought he caught an STD just standing there in the crowd. If this isn’t hell, Scott thought, then it can’t be too far off.
Scott scanned the rooms from the parking lot for the one swarming with Houston’s finest. His eyes fell on a room on the first floor at the corner of the building.
Obviously this must be the Presidential Suite, Scott thought to himself. He sidled past a Texans fan in a ridiculously large cowboy hat and a hooker who had probably been turning tricks during the Depression and moved toward Nash’s motel room.

Houston Escorts: Woman accused of robbing disabled student in wheelchair

Erik Garcia suffers from Multiple Sclerosis and has been confined to a wheelchair since he was 13. On January 26, he ventured on to the Houston backpages.com with the idea of calling up an escort service to try, as he describes it, to evangelize to them.
“I called them up, and said, ‘Hey, just listen to me for an hour, I’ll give you $100.’ And I would preach to that person and try to get them to change their ways, and lo and behold, I got mugged,” Garcia told Eyewitness News.
It didn’t go as planned. According to investigators, the woman answered on the other end of the escort service was Jamie Sue Vaughn, someone who’s been arrested more than 10 times in the last decade for drugs and prostitution.

An escort who is accused of robbing a customer in a wheelchair of more than $500, threatening him with a gun and leaving him stranded at motel off the Gulf Freeway has been charged with aggravated robbery in Harris County.
Jamie Sue Vaughn, 28, is accused of stealing from Erik Wilhelm Garcia, 27, a student at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, who is unable to walk because of multiple sclerosis.
According to a criminal complaint, Garcia told Houston police he contacted an online escort service and made an agreement to meet an escort for $100 if she picked him up at the house he shared with his parents on El Dorado Boulevard in Houston.

Trafficking Warrior Brings Awareness

HOUSTON – A local woman is making it her life’s work to fight sex trafficking. The issue is so big, it’s impossible for one group to tackle it alone. More and more individuals are answering the call to spread awareness.
In Houston, no matter where you stand, you’re always just a few miles away from a place where you can buy sex.
It’s not always from prostitutes but oftentimes slaves. It’s happening at cantinas, massage parlors and on the street.
“I go visit those places just to stand on the property and identify victims,” said Cat French, who answers the call to battle every night of the week.
“I’m a little out of the box, and I make some people kind of nervous.”

Houston Escorts: Christian Non-Profit Takes Fight Against Human Trafficking to Mayor’s Office

Free the Captives, a Houston based Christian non-profit, does it all. Having long been involved in education and counseling for at-risk teenagers and potential pimps, Free the Captives is also active in trying to go after suppliers and buyers in the human trafficking market.

“It does not matter how many pimps and landlords there are if the buyers are still willing to pay and there is money to be made,” said the anonymous source, “other pimps and landlords will pop up. You can’t stem the tide without going after the source.” For their part, the Mayor’s Office and the Houston Police Department believe that human trafficking is a major problem and are sincere in enforcing existing laws. In a letter from 2010, Mayor Annise Parker acknowledged the growing problem and said, “Houston is a hub for Human Trafficking where approximately twenty percent of all human trafficking victims will pass through our city at some point of their enslavement.” The Mayor’s Office recently reiterated the importance of fighting human tra …

According to court papers, the 34-year-old mom confessed to her sister:
“I can’t believe I did that to my daughter. I am a monster.”
No one at the mom’s home had anything to say but prosecutors do.

Houston Escorts: Pick the Astros’ New Name!

Here’s a novel concept. During the off season, hold a contest for the fans. Allow them to submit suggestions and vote for the new name and logo of the team. The winner gets season tickets and free food (but not beer! Crane has to make his money somewhere!) and the fans have the extra spice of seeing a scenery change every season. The marketing possibilities are limitless.
The Houston Minute Maids:
Speaking of marketing possibilities, here’s a name that will help the Astros pay down the debt sooner. Simply pimp the team’s dignity out to the highest bidder, name the club after that company (or individual), and pay off the debt to make them competitive faster. Other clubs will be jealous, though the the players would have to put up with a bit more playground name-calling on game day. Other options along this line: The Houston Continental-Uniteds, the Houston Halliburtons, the Houston Mattress Macks, or the Houston Memorial Hermann Healthcare Systems (though this would likely end their affiliation with the Methodist Hospital system, but hey – bring in the new, right?).

Houston Escorts: Students Take to Stage to Reveal Houston’s Big Problem

For months, the character, played by Foshee, was forced to sell herself for sex inside a Houston brothel.
“Guys go, they pay $50, and they get to have sex with a girl. That’s not okay with me,” said Foshee.
It only took Foshee an hour to write the play. She was inspired by a victim she met at a shelter a couple years ago.
“The man who kidnapped her would go back to her hometown and take pictures of her sister. He said, ‘If you leave I’m going to go get so and so’,” said Foshee.
The play took place inside Jones Hall on the school’s campus. An audience was sucked in by carefully placed signs reminding people slavery still exists.

“I grew up in a very nice life, and I can’t imagine having a daughter or a sister trapped in forced prostitution,” said Foshee.
